National Fish and Seafood is a national supplier/partner of seafood to major retailers, distributors, institutional food service and restaurant chains located across the United States. Every year we source, process and distribute more than 40,000 tons of frozen raw fish fillets and shrimp, cooked shrimp and breaded fish and seafood products under our National Fish, Matlaw’s and Schooner brands. Acquired by National Fish in 2004, Matlaw’s famous stuffed clams are the #1 seafood appetizer in the United States.
NFS’s parent company is Pacific Andes – a global leader in seafood sourcing and production. Pacific Andes owns an expansive fleet of commercial fishing vessels that constantly work the world’s oceans, as well as processing plants strategically located on virtually every continent. The company also has strong relationships with shrimp farmers across Asia and works closely with them to ensure Best Aquaculture Practices and HACCP food quality standards as well as international sustainability and human rights standards and laws are met. We provide highly reliable quality by literally controlling the shrimp before they are born, through harvesting, processing and distribution, right up until they arrive at each customer’s place of business.
The vast sourcing and production capabilities of Pacific Andes along with its strong financial backing give us the resources to fulfill commercial and retail orders of any size. In addition, we maintain our own 66,000 square foot, SQF Level 3 certified processing facility located adjacent to our headquarters in Gloucester, Massachusetts.
